# Agents-Only Marketplace v2 — Release Record

## Status

Released and deployed.

The marketplace now distributes agent packages only. The previous preparation
plan, marketplace profiles, and role-contract model are retired.

## Product Model

Each marketplace package defines one agent:

- **Standalone agent:** provides its complete prompt, model policy, tools,
  skills, MCPs, routing guidance, and metadata.
- **Built-in extension:** extends exactly one supported built-in agent:
  `explorer`, `librarian`, `oracle`, `designer`, `fixer`, or `observer`.
  Its prompt mode is `append` or `replace`.

Marketplace packages cannot extend other marketplace packages. There are no
marketplace profiles.

Packages are data-only. They declare bounded tool, skill, and MCP requirements;
they cannot ship executable scripts, hooks, or MCP commands. Effective
capabilities are default-deny and can only be narrowed by host configuration.

## Package, Registry, and Runtime Contracts

- Agent manifests use schema version **2**.
- Registry indexes use schema version **3** and are served from
  `https://registry.ohmyopencodeslim.com/v2/`.
- Each registry entry resolves an exact package version and SHA-256 artifact
  digest.
- `/v1/` indexes and artifacts remain immutable and continue to be served for
  existing installations.
- The local store is immutable by resolved version and startup remains offline.
- Lifecycle commands are explicit: `install`, `enable`, `disable`, and
  `remove`.
- Activation is configured under `marketplace.agents`.
- A reload is required after marketplace lifecycle changes; the live agent
  registry is never hot-swapped.

- Commit: `41d538dc` — `feat(marketplace): adopt agents-only v2 model`
- Validation: 2,794 tests passed, plus Biome CI, TypeScript, build, diff check,
  deterministic lease concurrency coverage, and final Oracle approval.

### Registry

- Cloudflare accepted a full-zone cache purge for `ohmyopencodeslim.com` after
  the deployment.

## Future Work

- Add and curate new standalone or built-in-extension agent packages through
  the v2 manifest and registry validation workflow.
- Expand marketplace authoring and submission documentation as the contributor
  workflow matures.
- Keep v1 artifacts immutable while active installations continue to reference
  them.
